United States Department of Education Policy Guidance Memos

The United States Department of Education has issued new guidelines on implementing certain parts of No Child Left Behind in a document called  Raising Achievement: A New Path for No Child Left Behind.

The Department also issued new guidelines about testing students with disabilities and will now allow a new category of students called "students with persistent academic disabilities." States may now  develop modified academic achievement standards and use alternate assessments based on those modified achievement standards for these students.
