professionals and parents are invited to join us for a half-day seminar to
learn about assistive technology under IDEA, how desktop technologies can
support student learning and what role technology may have for special
education students in achieving Adequate Yearly Progress under No Child Left
Behind.

Author Scott F.
Johnson
is a New Hampshire attorney and the
founder of NHEdLaw, LLC
an entity
dedicated to improving the quality of education for all students. He
represents parents and students in education matters and
provides training and consultation services to educators,
professionals and schools.
Attorney Johnson is co-counsel in
Claremont v. Governor, the case establishing that
New Hampshire
students have a fundamental right to an adequate education. He
frequently writes and speaks nationally on education topics and is the
author of the
New Hampshire Special Education Law Manual: A
Guide for Parents,
Educators, Attorneys and Advocates.

Kathleen H. McClaskey, M.Ed.
is President of
EdTech Associates, Inc.,
a company providing
assistive
technology consultation, evaluation and training services for children and
adults with learning disabilities, special education teams and schools.
Kathleen has over 20 years experience in educational technology as a
teacher and administrator and in designing
effective
technology solutions for students with learning disabilities. She is
also a graduate professor at Cambridge College, Plymouth State University
and Lesley University and is a frequent conference presenter on the role
of technology in improving academic outcomes for students with
learning disabilities, and is a member of the International Society
for Technology in Education, the New Hampshire Society for Technology in
Education and the Educational Industry Association
